"Technology is my passion and most things I do revolve around designing, creating, learning, and occasionally playing on my computers."

I absolutley LOVE working on my Macintosh! Nothing compares to the Mac operating system! I really love producing videos with Final Cut Pro and creating Quicktime movies. Especially movies that showcase the German Shepherds we rescue. Showcasing the dogs on video really makes it easy for potential adopters to get to know a dog a little better before meeting the GSD for the first time.

I also spend a lot of time on the internet. Usually, when I'm not surfing the net, I can be found designing web pages, graphics, and occasionally FileMaker databases.

I love going to the theater to take in a movie and also enjoy watching videos at home, especially in the home theater we built. Terri came up with the idea to build it because she signed us up for NetFlix and we didn't own a DVD player. So, the purchase of a DVD player along with installing a new floor in the basement led to a really cool home theater. Here is a QuickTime Panorama of the room.

Speaking of movies. We've seen a lot of them. As a matter of fact back in 1998 my wife and I viewed the top 100 films of all time as picked by the American Film Institute. This took us about a year to accomplish. After viewing them, we came up with our own top 100. Of course this would change over time, but here is what we came up with back in 1998.

Everything else considered one might think that I could never create the time to enjoy some entertainment. I do, however, enjoy participating, seeing and attending several festivals and events. Some of the events listed below may even give somebody an idea for those times when you want to do something, but can't think of anything to do!

Concerts are a blast! The biggest being Summerfest in Milwaukee, of course. This nine day bash is a must at least one day every summer. Concerts are also fun at county fairs, various fests, and local clubs.

Festivals are another favorite of mine. There are a variety of festivals out there, but these are ones that I go to: Strawberry Patch Festival in Cedarburg, WI; Pumpkin Patch Festival in Fish Creek, animation festivals, beer tasting festivals; and wine tasting festivals.

Fairs and picnics are also fun, but usually occur only in the summer months. The best fair that I have ever been to is the Renaissance Faire in Bristol, WI. I recommend taking this trip back through time for anyone old enough to appreciate fun and entertainment. One can witness a real joust competition, see a Shakespearean play, eat a turkey drumstick, see a royal processional, get pestered by beggars or just take in the lingo and dress of the people of this time period.

Every summer since 2000 I have held a Media Paws Beer Tasting Festival at my home. Along with all the tasting and feirce competition between beers year after year, I make a video of the event. It is loads of fun. Especially with making beer commercials in front of a green screen. I can put the announcer in any setting.

My recreation and leisure time, when not spent on the computer, is spent going to the dog park, watching TV, reading a book (not too often), working in the yard and listening to music.

I'd be lost without my iPod! It has changed the way I listen to music. No more having to suffer through stupid morning radio shows. Shut up and play music already. Well, along comes the iPod and I have nonstop music that I want to hear! Very cool!

In third grade I fell in love with a band called, Paul McCartney and Wings. As I grew older I continued my appreciation for this one-time Beatle and his band. One of the goals I set for myself when I was around 15 or 16 was to eventually see Paul McCartney in concert. Finally, in 1990 at Soldier Field in Chicago I got to see him in concert. I also saw him in 1994 at County Stadium in Milwaukee. To this day Paul McCartney is still my all time favorite.

I do like other bands and music. At the local level I like watching the show band, Vic Ferrari, perform. Another band, although not officially a group anymore, is Jukebox Heroes. They played all of the hard rock (Jethro Tull, Uriah Heep, Focus, etc...) of the 60s and 70s.

When it comes to radio I am partial to classic rock, heavy metal and some alternative rock. I like: Eagles, Beatles, Bon Jovi, John Cougar Mellencamp, Garbage, Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Rovolver, Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, etc....
